Empowered in Heels
One of my missions is to empower women to create the life they want and to live their lives to the fullest. I was honoured when Suzy Tamasy reached out to me asking if I could appear on her T.V. show, Empowered in Heels. Yay!!! My first T.V. appearance. In this interview we discussed everything from business ownership and overcoming challenges, to "pivoting" during these challenging times, to the importance of self-care.
One thing I emphasized in the interview is to follow your dreams. Of course, you have to make sure that you can make a living and live the life that you desire, but it's so important to live your life on purpose. Suzy had asked me that if I could go back in time, would I do things the same. Although it's a bit of a tough question to answer, my answer was no. I am so grateful for the path that I have taken because it has brought me to where I am today and it has made me the person I am today. Policing has provided me with security and many opportunities that I may not have had, had I not taken this path. Joining the Police Service as a sinlge mother, it was what I needed to provide the life for my daughter that she deserved, and trust me! - my Princess had the best of EVERYTHING!! However, as good as my career has been to me, I have discovered another passion in business and I am making an impact that goes beyond the immediate community that I serve. So, if I could go back in time I would take the new found path that I'm on right now because I feel that I can be of service to others and make an impact on a Global scale.
Again, I am grateful for the path that I have taken, but it's never too late to follow your dreams or to make a difference.
Are you living a life full of passion and purpose? If not, ask yourself why.
Watch my interview and feel free to check out Empowered in Heels, on TV Chaar, airing on Tuesdays with Suzy Tamasy.
